Inspection of Large-Diameter Pipelines – AGANOVA

ONFLOW, in collaboration with AGANOVA, provides specialized internal inspection and condition assessment services for large-diameter water supply pipelines, while they remain in normal operation.

AGANOVA is a technology company specializing in water network inspection and has developed the Nautilus System, an advanced in-line inspection technology. The Nautilus device is inserted into the pipeline and moves passively with the water flow, collecting high-resolution data from inside the network. In this way, the inspection is carried out without interrupting the water supply and without the need for extensive excavation, significantly reducing operational disruption.

The technology enables the detection of leaks, air or gas pockets, and structural anomalies, and can be applied to pipelines made of different materials, such as metallic, plastic, concrete, and composite materials.

Assessment of the actual condition of the pipeline

The service is not limited to leak detection. The data collected during the inspection is analyzed through AGANOVA's Nemo platform, using advanced data analysis methods and machine learning, with the aim of assessing the actual condition of the pipeline and identifying areas that require further investigation or intervention.

The results are presented in an easily understandable manner, among other things through a Red–Amber–Green (Heatmap) assessment color map, in which areas of different risk levels and identified anomalies are highlighted. At the same time, the results can be delivered through detailed reports and data compatible with GIS systems.

By leveraging the inspection results, Network Operators can prioritize actual maintenance and rehabilitation needs, direct their investments more effectively, and intervene in a targeted manner on sections of the network that present increased risk, instead of relying exclusively on pipeline age or generalized replacement programs.
